Enjoy on video the musical talents of the primary school choirs who joined us last month for the St Anne Trust Primary School Choir of the Year competition.

Day one (May 15) featured pupils from two special schools, Jordanstown and Harberton, who enjoyed some fun musical workshops before their fantastic performances. On day two (May 16) we enjoyed singing from St Anne’s PS, Forge Integrated PS, Harding Memorial PS, Currie PS, Victoria College Prep, Cliftonville Integrated PS, Cranmore  Integrated PS, Elmgrove PS, Rosetta PS and Holy Cross Boys’ PS.

Adjudicator Dr Joe McKee had the unenviable task of choosing the top choirs from a truly impressive field and in the end it was Victoria College Preparatory Department which was awarded first place. A close second was the choir of Holy Cross Boys’, and in third place was Currie Primary School. St Anne’s Primary School was highly commended.

Many thanks to key events sponsor Belfast City Council, Abbey Insurance and Black Santa.
