Belfast Cathedral was one of a number of city centre buildings to receive a visit from a group of architects from across the UK on Thursday afternoon.
The architects were delegates at the Institute of Historic Building Conservation Annual School, held in Belfast from June 21-23. They were on a walking tour of sacred spaces in central Belfast, led by Dr Paul Harron, Church of Ireland Press Officer.
The walk looked at the history and architecture of a number of sacred spaces, and also the challenges facing these churches and the innovative ways many are sharing their spaces and stories with the city and its growing number of visitors.
The group was welcomed by the Dean of Belfast, the Very Rev Stephen Forde, and given a short tour by Cathedral steward and guide Ken Holmes.
