Congratulations to the Rev Ian Mills who was ordained a priest at a service in Christ Church Parish Church, Lisburn, on Sunday September 9.

Ian was a familiar face around St Anne’s as he shared ministry with the clergy team in the Cathedral over the summer. He was ordained by the Bishop of Connor, the Rt Rev Alan Abernethy.

He was previously deacon intern in the parish of St John the Baptist, Agherton, Diocese of Connor, and was ordained for the Grouped Parishes of Larne and Inver with Glynn and Raloo.

Bishop Abernethy also ordained the Rev Derek Harrington (for the Parish of Christ Church, Lisburn), and the Rev William Jeffrey (for the Parish of St Mark, Ballymacash).

Preacher at the Ordination Service was the Rev John Rutter, Derriaghy Rural Dean.
