On All Soul’s Day, Thursday November 2, St Anne’s Cathedral will host a service of remembrance of those whom we love and see no longer.
Dean’s Vicar, the Rev Canon Mark Niblock, said that over the past year the Cathedral community had lost a number of members and supporters.
“During the course of this special Choral Eucharist on All Soul’s Day, we will remember by name those we have lost in the past 12 months,” Canon Niblock said. “There will also be an opportunity to include the names of others who, though perhaps gone from us longer or not having been connected to the Cathedral, are still remembered and missed.”
In the course of the service, lights will be lit and silence will be kept in respectful memory. The choir will sing a beautiful setting, Missa pro defunctis by Tomas Luis De Victoria.
A warm welcome is extended to the Cathedral community, family and friends. The service begins at 8pm.
