We are looking forward to hosting Christmas Baroque by Candlelight, performed by the London Concertante, on Friday December 15. Join one of Britain’s busiest Chamber ensembles for a programme of festive favourites including Corelli’s Christmas Concerto; Vivaldi’s ‘Winter’ from the Four Seasons and music from Bach, Handel, Telemann and a ‘Gypsy-Celtic Christmas.’ The concert gets underway in St Anne’s Cathedral at 7.30 pm. Office hymn: Responses: Psalm: Canticles: Anthem: There is a choral service, sung by the cathedral choir, at the end of every week-day during term time.  The Evensong service dates back to the 1662 Book of Common Prayer, when the evening services of Vespers and Compline were combined.  At Choral Evensong, the choir sings repertoire selected from the very best of sacred music, from the earliest plainsong to recently composed works.
