The Past Choristers’ Association organises an annual dinner and joins the Cathedral Choir to sing an annual Evensong. Individual members of the Association attend the annual conference, and other events, of 'The Federation of Cathedral Old Choristers' Association' in Great Britain. The St. Anne's Cathedral Past Choristers' Association also supports the Choral Scholarship and Exhibitioner Scheme organised by the Belfast Cathedral Choir Association. It is hoped that, in the near future, the Past Choristers' Association Newsletter will be reinstated, and that other social and musical events will be established.

Past Choristers of Belfast Cathedral are to be found in every country of the English speaking world. Many of these former choristers have exerted a profound influence on the musical life of our nation in terms of singing in cathedral choirs (examples include St. Paul's Cathedral, Westminster Abbey, St. George's Chapel, Windsor, and Guildford Cathedral), as professional singers (including Mervyn Collins, Brian Gordon, James Hamilton, Hugh Mackey and David Martin), highly successful organists and choirmasters (including Brian Hunter, Ian Hunter, Timothy Wilson and Nigel McClintock at St. Peter's Cathedral, Belfast), orchestral conductors (for example, Kenneth Montgomery) and music teachers in both the private and schools sectors. Other former choristers of St. Anne's have been prominent within the Church, Civil Service, the Law and Government.
