NAVE WINDOWS - DAVID 1
The nave windows are of major Jewish faith figures. Each window has three parts - a symbolic area at the apex, an almost full sized figure in the central panels, and a vignette from the character's life in a lower detailed panel.
The window shows the most popular King of Israel.
The apex shows The Ark of the Covenant within the Temple.
David is shown here as a musician who was reputed to be a skilled harpist.
The base section shows the Prophet Samuel anointing David as King.
