22 February – Ash Wednesday Lunchtime Service of Holy Communion

Belfast Cathedral - 22 February – Ash Wednesday Lunchtime Service of Holy Communion

1pm ASH WEDNESDAY LUNCHTIME SERVICE

of MEDITATION & HOLY COMMUNION WITH IMPOSITION OF ASHES.

All are invited to share in the Cathedral's Lunchtime Ash Wednesday Service from 1pm to 1.40pm on 22nd February. Marking the start of the Season of Lent, this simple service of Holy Communion will be held in the cathedral's Chapel of Unity.

The service will include the first of Canon Raymond Fox's Lenten Meditations on the theme "Listen of Me". The service will also give opportunity for the Imposition of Ashes for those who wish. After the service, there will be tea, coffee and sandwiches for anyone who has time to stay.

Each following Wednesday from 1-1.40pm, through the six weeks of Lent and in the setting of Holy Communion, Canon Raymond Fox will continue to reflect on the theme "Listen to Me" with a focus each week on the words: Obey, Faith, Wisdom, Kingdom, and Glorify.

Those who have a lunch break from their work, and all who can join us in the city centre, are invited to make this reflective service a part of their Lent journey for 2023.
