Closure Update – Mon 19th Oct – Saturday 16th Nov 2020

Belfast Cathedral is currently closed to tourists and daily visitors until Saturday 14th November 2020 due to the global outbreak of the Coronavirus (Covid-19).

The health and wellbeing of our visitors and staff are of the utmost importance and following updated Government guidance in relation to the Covid-19, Belfast Cathedral will be closed as a culture attraction.

Over past months our city and society have faced unprecedented challenges as we have lived through the Coronavirus Covid-19 pandemic. After a welcome relaxation of restrictions over the summer months, new restrictions were introduced on 16th October, 2020.

We are still able to give you a warm welcome to Belfast Cathedral for our Sunday services. Regrettably, however, the cathedral is closed to weekday and weekend visitors until 14th November, 2020. Nevertheless, we hope that our Sunday worship and on-line you will still find our cathedral to be a place of stunning beauty, worship and reflection.
