Belfast Cathedral - Dr Janet Unsworth Installed as Methodist Ecumenical Canon

Congratulations to Dr Janet Unsworth on her Installation as Methodist Ecumenical Canon of St Anne's Cathedral on Sunday 28th April, as part of the service of Choral Evensong.

Janet was joined after the service by the Very Revd Stephen Forde, Dean of Belfast, by the preacher Rev Dr Heather Morris, by the President of the Methodist Church in Ireland, Rev David Turtle and by the Bishop of Connor.

Janet's husband John and daughter Rebekah both read lessons during the service.

Music for Evensong by the Cathedral Choir, was led by Master of Music, Mr Jack Wilson, with Assistant Organist, Stephen Hamill. Music included "Kelly in C", and CV Stanford's "O Thou, the Central Orb"

Afterwards Janet was joined by members of the joint Methodist / Church of Ireland Chaplaincy Church of the Resurrection, including Chaplain, the Reverend Danielle McCullough and also by Janet's parents, her sister, Rev Ruth Patterson and and brother, Rev Dr John Alderdice.
