Pet Service 2019

Belfast Cathedral - Pet Service 2019

On Sunday 6th October we once again celebrated our annual Pet Service, and attendance this year was our biggest yet!

Over 200 animal lovers turned up with their furry friends and although it was sometimes hard to hear the words of the service amid the barks, Rev Janice Elsdon put it perfectly during her sermon: ''If they add their voices to ours during the service that's only proper.''

Dean of Belfast, the very Rev Stephen Forde, said it was wonderful to celebrate the part that animals play in our lives. ''Pets and animals are a blessing to us as humans so it's right for us to share God's blessing and love with them,'' he added.

Take a look at some of the pets, and owners, who joined us yesterday.
