Belfast Cathedral - Sunday 19th June – Trinity 1

Please join us at 11.00am on Sunday Morning, 19th June 2022 for Cathedral Choral Eucharist on the 1st Sunday after Trinity. The service will feature the Cathedral Choir giving the world premiere of Howard Skempton’s “Missae Sanctae Annae”

The service is led by Rev Janice Elsdon. The preacher is Mrs Gillian McGaughey. The celebrant is the Dean. Holy Communion can be received in both kinds, using individual cups.

As above, the musical setting for Choral Eucharist is “Missa Sanctae Annae”  by Howard Skempton. The Communion Motet, also by Howard Skempton is “Hoc Corpus quod”. The Organ prelude is “Prelude on “Wessex” by Matthew Owens, and the organ Postlude is “Intrada” by Grayston Ives. A feast of contemporary cathedral music

The service will be followed by Tea or Coffee which once again will be served at the West End of the cathedral.

Cathedral Choral Evensong will be at 3.30pm, to which all are invited

The wearing of face coverings is now a matter of personal choice. Out of respect for others you may wish to wear a face covering when moving inside the building. Face coverings may be removed when you are in your seats.
