Sunday Services 13 March
You are welcome to join us for Choral Eucharist at 11.00am on Sunday 13 March 2022, which is the Second Sunday in Lent. The celebrant is the Dean and the preacher is Gillian McGaughey, Diocesan Reader.
Please note that seating will be by alternate rows, and we ask that 2 vacant chairs (1m) be kept between groups. Holy Communion can be received in both kinds, using individual cups.
The musical setting for Choral Eucharist will be Missa Brevis by Sir Lennox Berkeley and the Communion Motet, sing by Belfast Cathedral Children's Choir, will be Litany to the Holy Spirit by Peter Hurford.
Choral Evensong, with the Installation of the Bishop of Connor, will take place at 3.30pm:
Dubois Fiat Lux
David Goodenough Behold, how good and joyful
Howard Skempton Preces and Responses
Psalm 70 (chant by Stainer)
Wood Collegium Regale
S.S. Wesley Lead me, Lord
Widor Marche Pontificale (1er Symphonie)
Following the downgrading of Covid restrictions to guidelines we respectfully ask you to wear a face covering when inside the building during the service, but especially when singing the hymns.
Social distancing guidelines should be observed during and after the service.
Over recent weeks we have experienced difficulty attempting to upload recordings of the spoken parts of Choral Eucharist. If possible, a recording will be posted here later in the day. However it will be available as normal on the Telephone Audio Service, 028 9532 0355.
A copy of both Orders of Service can be downloaded below.
