Sunday Services 28 March

Belfast Cathedral - Sunday Services 28 March

Sunday 28 March is the Sixth Sunday in Lent, Palm Sunday. In accordance with current N.I. Executive regulations today's Morning Worship will be livestreamed only, as the cathedral is closed to public worship during the present period of lockdown.

The service is led by the Very Reverend Stephen Forde, Dean, and the Dean's Vicar, Canon Mark Niblock.  In place of a sermon today the choir will sing the St Mark Passion by Orlande de Lassus (c.1532-94).

Below you will find orders of service that can be downloaded and used at home. Please remember that the clocks go forward one hour this weekend! The Morning Service of the Word will be streamed live at 11am, and can be accessed through the Belfast Cathedral Facebook page. This can be easily accessed by clicking on the link below:

Given the difficult financial position that Belfast Cathedral faces in 2021, we ask those who follow our Livestream service to consider making a donation to the cathedral. Details on how to do this are found on the last page of the Service Sheet. It is possible to make an online donation by clicking on the link below. We thank you for your contribution to the life of Belfast Cathedral.

Later in the day, you can listen to the service on the Telephone Audio Service by phoning 028 9532 0355.

A Service of Evening Prayer is also available for private use.

And don't forget to listen in for the daily Lent Reflections Monday to Saturday by Rev. Ron Elsdon, which are posted on the cathedral website from 8am each day.

Please continue to stay safe, and watch the website and social media pages for updates.
