Sunday Services 29th May
Please join us at 11.00am on Sunday Morning, 29th May, 2022 for Choral Eucharist at 11.00am on the Seventh Sunday of Easter, the Sunday after Ascension Day.
The service is led by Gillian McGaughey. The preacher is Melanie Sloan, our student intern training at the Church of Ireland Theological Institute. The celebrant is the Dean. Holy Communion can be received in both kinds, using individual cups.
The musical setting for Choral Eucharist is Missa Brevis by Giovanni Palestrina. The Communion Motet will be O scarum convivium (O sacred banquet) by William Byrd.
The service will be followed by Tea or Coffee which this week will be served in the cathedral hall. Please also note that the cathedral’s Talbot Street Car Park will not be open for those attending the morning service. These changes are due to arrangements in place for the afternoon service.
At 3.30pm there will be a Livestream broadcast of the Service of Thanksgiving marking the Twentieth Anniversary of the award of the RUC George Cross, and the Centenary of the creation of the Royal Ulster Constabulary. Access to the cathedral is by invitation.
