The InSpire Kids Trail at Belfast Cathedral

The InSpire Kids Trail Launched at Belfast Cathedral

On Saturday 31st August, the InSpire Kids Trail was officially launched at Belfast Cathedral.

Belfast Cathedral recently partnered with Sean Greer Design in an effort to open the Cathedral space up more to families and schools. This project was funded by the Church of Ireland Priorities Fund which has enabled the Cathedral to develop an offering for children which will allow them to interact with the Cathedral and learn its history, something we did not have before.

The ‘InSpire’ concept, draws on our own unusual architecture and the desire to have children and adults engage more with the space. This was developed by Sean and Clare Greer who’s dedication to the project stemmed from the idea of creating an experience that visitors will enjoy and remember.

By creating a fun and new experience for families, the Cathedral wants to encourage visitors to view this space as their own to explore and be proud of, creating new memories that they’ll cherish.

Through the InSpire Kids Trail, children (and adults!) will be inspired by their surroundings, discover something new, and will use their imagination to connect with the rich heritage of the Cathedral.

The InSpire Kids Trail is now available at Belfast Cathedral at the Welcome Desk, explore the Cathedral with your family and friends and complete the activities! Feel free to leave your artwork with us at the Cathedral in the Children's Corner, or take them away and share on social media, using the hashtag #inspirekidstrail.

Keep an eye out for more family-friendly events and activities at Belfast Cathedral!
