from St Anne's

Welcome Mr Calow!

We were delighted to receive a visit from Mr Charles Calow, who at the age of 87 decided he would like to improve his knowledge of historic St Anne’s Cathedral.

Mr Calow, a lifelong parishioner of Knockbreda Parish, was actually baptised in Belfast Cathedral.

He was accompanied on his visit on Tuesday February 5 by former Board Member Mr Ken Patterson, who was also a member of Knockbreda Parish before his move to the Cathedral 30 years ago.

Mr Calow, a retired interior designer, said the Cathedral was a lovely building and he would like to know more about it so he could pass that knowledge on to others.

“It almost puts its hands out to welcome you,” he added.
